What a men's spiritual retreat is
A retreat is a deliberate pause: two days out of the routine, with no screens and no obligations, in a natural setting and with a closed group of men. It is not a holiday and it is not a course — the structure exists so the noise drops and what usually has no room can appear.
«Spiritual» here does not mean religious. It means working with attention, breath, the body and silence, in a practical way and without dogma. Nobody has to believe in anything to take part.
Why Gran Canaria
The island packs ravines, pine forest, sea and very clear night skies into a few kilometres. Finca Las Orillas sits in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, less than an hour from Las Palmas and from the southern resorts, yet far enough inland that at night you only hear the wind.
The climate allows outdoor retreats almost all year round: circles under the trees, breathwork at sunrise and a fire at night, whatever the season.
How the weekend runs
Saturday: arrival and opening of the space, first circle of introductions, archetype work, shared lunch, a conscious breathing session, movement and dance, dinner, live music and a fire into the night.
Sunday: silence and meditation at sunrise, closing circle, a swim in the pool, lunch and farewell in the mid-afternoon. Accommodation is in glamping tents and shared rooms within the finca.
What to bring and how to book
Comfortable clothes and something warm for the night, walking shoes, swimwear, a torch and a willingness to be present. Food is vegetarian and can be adapted to intolerances if you tell us in advance.
